I've just got my new magazine - plenty to wade through there! (not finished the fellrunner yet!) Anyone else got their's?

Yup, just received and read mine, have to say I think it is rather sparse on articles compared to usual. The info on long distance walks (5 days and longer) is interesting. I always find it fascinating to see what other people achieve and how they cope, and Bill Orme obviously knows his stuff - how do you carry 21 days worth of 'everything' for ****s sake? And it's altitude walking
People like this who research and par everything down to the bare minimum provide data and info for the rest of us - on our little adventures.
Respect where it is due, although many may look down upon "Walkers", some of these guys are well up there as long distance advernturers.
The end is nigh
I've just received my May edition of Trail Magazine. What's going off? It's still March.
You have to laugh at that, don't you, Geoff?
Have just lent my LDWA Strider mag to a fella at work. He's done Hadrians Wall and I thought he might be interested in the LDPs article. Maybe he'll join :-)
As fellrunners, do you think Trail or Runners World is the best? You're not allowed to choose The Fellrunner!!! Poll:
I think I'll walk this bit....
I've never seen a copy of Runners World, so can't really compare. I've subscribed to Trail for years, now, due to my hill walking background. I still find it an interesting mag, and most of the routes described in it are just as good for running as they are for walking.
Trail is my favourite just for its wonderful route advice. They've twice directed readers over a large cliff on Ben Nevis.

Im also quite keen on Cycling Plus though, for its interesting description of a route where you can "dismount, wank along the pavement and cross the main road at a safe point".
Now there's an image to carry round with me for the rest of the day!

Here's is the location of Mud. Joliver Jim can now throw a few full stops at his colon.
Sans Seriffe
..each time Mud reappeared he had changed location. He began in the Indian Ocean, moved to the South China Sea, and ended up in the North Atlantic…
