Jodg - Depends on the state of the feet after Snowdon. Last year I left my left heel somewhere just below the half way house

But if ok I would be surely tempted, I really enjoyed the race last year

HHAC usually have water tables at the top of the moss (you pass them twice), plus there is plenty of parking at the top of Holme Moss for friends/family to help out too.

ETA of runners at Laddow rocks? If you're there for noon you should have time to spare (more likely to be nearer 12.30 before you see anyone) - depends on the weather. best bet is to catch them as they cross the Moss and then run the other way to catch them again

I'm in the same boat; I love the Horseshoe and was gutted to miss it this year. This race is daunting for me but I know its just within my reach.

May well be beyond my reach! This wet weather is going to make the going "soft" to downright boggy! May not see my feet for several hours!

The Laddlow bit is sounding a bit on the "interesting" side - rather a change from the 1 mile time trial I did on a track yesterday! Variety is the spice of life and all that.

One question, if RichK is running, who will take photos/videos?

Got me nicely on Crowden, thanks for that!

Its always boggy anyway but just make sure you dont end up waist deep in peat . BTW what time did you do your mile in?
