    Sounds like there's a fair bit of track. Assuming not much more rain before Saturday, any advice on if Walshes would be suitable, or am I best off getting the trail shoes out?

    if its dry id say trail shoes if wet fell shoes the race is a rocky one quite a fast course

    Nonsense you baistow . Mudclaws all the way. If its rocky like in wales i go for mudclaws. Unless you invest in Crosslites

    No on wet rock though which is what ingleborough is. Mudclaws all the way for mud. But at coiners next year il be wearing cross country spikes

    Eyeballs out all the way no real hard decending except little bit at top, good for old codgers like me with dodgy knees ,mostly hard track n path, if dry i would do it in road shoes or on the bike

    Thanks Scott. I'll decide when I get there - made the mistake at Beamsley Beacon last month of wearing my Walshes when it was mostly road/trail. Will soon have no studs left on them. It's a Wharfedale Champ race - are you doing it?
