Arguably the last such mid-week jaunt in the locality as move to new shed imminent.

    Piglet................it's all yours now!
A breezy run through chest high bracked and knee deep streams with the odd bit of peat bog and the rare bit of track. very slippy with the streams in flood.

I wasn't the only one out there today.

Very tough going. Met up with Piglit to deliver beer

Did the Crowden Horseshoe more or less. Went to find one of the Dark Peak Wrecks (not IDP). It is certainly spread out over quite an area.
Super morning out, odd bit of drizzle now and again but thoroughly enjoyed it.

    I should hope not.

Are we talking the two meteors on Sliddens. lots to find

And worth noting that they crashed on the same day as the Icelandic airways Consul by Outeredge 12th April 1951

Look at you, Capt. Trivia! Aye, was over there with IDP this time last year. We also visited a Liberator wreck on the E side of Holme Moss. Came across Cloudberry plants too if I seem to remember. Wet out then, same as this year.
