I was always under the impression that you need to keep tyres pumped up fairly hard to avoid punctures.

A quick 15 miles on singlespeed crosser culminating in a 25% mile long grunty b@st@rd climb, resisted the urge to pedal up it and gave the old bike an upper
May sleep with her tonight, she's very dirty![]()
2 Hours out on the CX to blow away the cobwebs after a hectic weekend at work. X2 steep carry sections (1 near vertical for 150'). Only 1 dog incident today but the bugger never had be off!!!
36 mile for me today. 3500ft of ascent.
Went down to Cragg Vale to attempt the "longest gradient in England" time trial. Result was 32.52 mins mainly in to a head wind. Measured 5.67 mile on the Garmin to the end of the road.

Average 15.5 mph for the other 30 mile but only managed 10.3 av on the climb. Av HR on the climb was 169 or 5.3 zone, I was buggered at the top.
A propper cyclist passed me and he was flying.
The more I do the more I want to do.![]()
No cycling today, but went out for a decent fell run, the first one in ages... 3 Peaks training is now in full swing
Off to hose down the crosser in a moment (no hose at home, so will ride the two miles to work, hose and ride back) and need to clean the TT bike too, as it got a soaking yesterday...
Good stuff Stagger![]()
Can I join the bike gang please. I did the red and half the black grade routes at Kirroughtree forest on Saturday; about 3.5 hours of intense stuff, especially for me.
I went in a novice and came out er... a novice but with added injuries!
And I just may have caught the mountain biking bug.
Cool Stolly, sounds like you have caught the bug![]()
Did this 3/4 years ago, may have another go this summer. About 3 hours/45 mile ride - rad/a58/l'bro/tod/hebden bridge/cragg vale and back.. was quite pleased to keep going without stopping. must've dropped a bit of weight stagger and leaner these days with all your efforts?

No, still putting weight on. Just under 14 stone. Will get my holidays out of the way, try and gee the hospital up and get back running ASAP.
I will include a lot more biking and less running though, in an attempt to save the knees for a couple of years.
Going to do a steady 20 on the canal back in the morning as a recovery ride.
