Not the same as the Borrowdale Ponies of course, but I have recently got off my rather well padded and voluminous arse, and started racing again. Whalley Nab on Tuesday, Hellifield on Saturday, Farleton (excellent race, apart from all the up and down bits) yesterday. Not fast, I'll grant you, and judging by the pics, not very comfortably, but least this member of the Ponies Fat Club is doing summit (ahem!)

However i ran very hard at Y Garn. Then the next day did a route that ive worked out is more like 13 miles 4500ft. Known to me as the beast. Then tonights run is merely a warm up for a sub 40 performance at the sadd 6
