I'd never heard of Fall out boy and am generally wary of US punk pop bands but apparently this lot have a song referencing the late great Donny Hathaway so cannot be all bad

dont get me started on kings of leon,their new album is just awful,sold out big time but youth and young manhood is just spectacular
although i only mean't my comment in jest i do find fall out boy a bit bland however

Great tune. Don't remember them (too young). But doesn't the singer look embarrassed about miming along to the song outdoors? Half expect to see a few forumites running through the video.

Not quite as good, but not to be sniffed at either. A lot of that music, as with any 'scene' is quite derivative and eventually becomes very boring. But FOB approach it all with a bit of wit and don't take themselves too seriously.
Any genuine 'emos' will probably say they're too commercial, and don't properly represent. Meh.
