    Excellent DT.

By the way Splatcher, I was checking my dates yesterday and realised the Pumlumon Challenge is the week before HP40, so no Chatsworth Challenge again for me this year.

Me neither. 45 miles on the 5th, 40 on the 19th, so I'm not doing 26 in between. Are you doing the Bullock Smithy, then Pumlumon, then the HP40 on consecutive weekends then? I couldn't do that I don't think. Anyway my family would have something to say if I tried. We're camping in the woods in County Durham with a load of friends the Chatsworth Challenge weekend. I'll get 15 miles or so in on the Sunday morning probably.

Also try the runfurther.com website for a list of the Vasque Ultra series races. Just sent my entry for this one so hopefully a couple of places left.

I think I've just about recovered from last weekends grand day out with a dibber.

    Splatcher,
I would do normally but I'm doing the UTMB on the weekend before BSH so I've kicked BSH into touch for the first time since 1996. I'll be marshalling instead. I'll get to see everyone else suffering for a change.

I was going over the route on my OS map last night, getting the old adrenalin pump started for a long run-in. I hope I can get round it this year: I tried to go too fast last year & get under 8 hours & had to pull out at Tideswell Moor. I seem to be a bit fitter this year, so I'm going to go for the same schedule again - some people never learn. This year I'm not going to go so fast down from Mam Tor to Castleton though - that finished me off last time. This race rates a 44 on the Thornton's Fruit Jelly scale.

I'm even considering packing my i-pod (I never usually run with one) loaded with some motivational tracks just to get me through that bit!
