Sounds good! Your PF really has gone up a lot. Hopefully it'll keep going onwards and upwards!

Im a little reluctant to post this but....

Since I started on the Montelukast tablets on Friday fair enough my asthma has been better but my head has been completely up my arse.

Admittedly, Im not the brightest bulb in the box at the best of times, but it feels like I have been prescribed the over the counter equivilant ecstasy.

I have been waking up in the middle of the night covered in sweat. I have been having weird dreams but last night was a proper kick ass nightmare. That scared the shit out of me and I remember it clear as a bell. I also felt like I could hear all the blood pumping around my body. It took me about three hours to get back to sleep.

I have been unable to concentrate, Example I had a meeting in Birmingham on monday and ended up jumping on the non stop train to london. Hence I had to get back from London Euston to Warrington and explain to my bosses why I could not make a training course I was supposed to be giving. Luckily its that much of a far out thing to happen that they saw the funny side of it

Granted I was a bit hungover but I just have not been thinking straight since starting to take them.

Im gonna put them in the bottom drawer and keep working the inhalers I was improving on those things.

Good knows what the street value is of these things.

Deeko, has your friend who takes them had any similar experiences.

    Jamie

Montelukast may cause drowsiness or dizziness. These effects may be worse if you take it with alcohol
And you get it for free on the NHS!

    Re: Asthma

    Hi Jamie,

I just asked him - he said:

"Yeah I stopped taking them though - I took them at night and felt pretty groggy in the mornings I took a break as I didn't want to be dependent on them"
"They do work though - big style when my asthma was at its worst if I forgot to take one guranteed darth vader awakeningings in the middle of the night"

So - upsides and downsides! If they're doing weird stuff you'd be better off asking for a 5 day course of prednisolone. Makes you a bit hyper but that's all I've had with it. Steroids are a short term thing though (unless you want some really BAD side-effects).

    Cheers,

    Derek.
