They only had times for the first 20 runners when I took this copy.
The first 4 were all Borrowdale and all within 11 seconds!
    what about the last 60?

I'm terrible at climbing (not joking, everyone who is on the hill, takes over me) but this time fed myself some kendal mint before the last two ascents and it seemed to work, on the last one, I know its only small, no one took over me.
    Thanks to organisers.
Good to see a lot of familiar faces, some great runs.
Was I talking to Al Fowler? pre and post race.

    I loved it!

I was determined i wasnt going to kill myself early on because i didnt want to have died before i had to climb lingmoor.

Set off right near the back and regretted it slightly as i went and over-took about 100 people before i'd got to the river crossing - which was ace!
Eventually caught Albert 'blackrod lad' Sunter up and stuck with him going up Weatherlam and the pace was perfect.
Just before we got to the top i past Albert and could see Stanners further up in the mist.
Followed the track and a few others, inc stanners and the pennine runner who turned out to be Marvin all the way on perfect lines....Marvin that line round the back of Great Carrs was spot on!
Was glued to the back of stanners on the decent down off Great Carrs until the point where you can see the three shires down down in the valley below where i had a proper 'brakes off, brain off' moment and flew down the hill down to the road and managed to get away from all the people that we where with at the top of the decent.
Passed the ever chearful Wheezing Donkey who gave me abit of water and a few sweets. My legs died after this point trying to climb up to blisco but i forced a pork pie down my and caught a bowland lad, a clem runner and a dark peak guy.
After leaving the blisco summit i back-tracked perfectly and headed off to Bela Tarn. Had a slight worry of where to head so whipped the map out and ran for the big hill in the distance.
Had a few good falls down to blea tarn and cramp was hitting me on the track that goes along the tarn.
Eased off climbing Lingmoor because i knew if i put any effort in, the higher the chance the cramp would properly nail me on the track into the finish ---and i didnt want that to happen because stanners was somewhere behind me.
Followed the Dark Peak guy through some perfect racing lines off Lingmoor and then just trotted into the finish.

Didnt kill myself and Loved it!!!!!!!!!!!

Those pasties at the pub where top notch!

Good to see the slug, mudders, marvin, peawet for the lift, stanners, joe, and with GeoffB 2nd V50!!!!

    Just checked, unfortunately not me!!

He is Neill with 2 lls, I'm Neil with one!

And he's obviously a proper runner an all!! - Being a member of a 'Proper' club, whereas I am still a pony, unless my membership has deemed to have lapsed!!
