Another good day, and found a 'lurker' heading for marrow size, hidden underneath one plant .

My mum gave me some of her home grown courgettes last wk.

Put them in a roasted veg with salmon.

Really hope she has not been widling on them

I doubt that she has, widdling on veg plants is very much a man's chore. Women don't have the facility to aim or spray correctly, and trying to do that ridiculous 'squatting thing' over a courgette plant or in the middle of a runner bean row, is far too undignified for most of them to even contemplate.

I was given a spaghetti squash, a butternut squash and a large beetroot by a work colleague - would he have widdled on those?

I don't want to worry you gentlemen but a lot of us ladies with allotments have sheds to shelter in and a bucket.....

....of course, I'm not talking about myself, although it has been said that my pumpkins look unnaturallly large this year and that isn't a euphemism!
