Launched myself off the MTB last night extensive soft tissue damage. Ow! Ow!
Not a bit of pain from shin today on bike, did a bit of running at one point over the boggy moors. Had a spill though, and gashed me other leg and bruised my hip
Never looked at this thread before...i had to have my eyelid stitched back together once, about 5 stitches if i remember rightly. The anaesthetic was going in through the needle and out of the hole and running down my face.
wondering what shin splints feel like? i have a right knee problem (eg diff going downstairs sometimes in the first day after a long run) but also am now experiencing bit of pain eminating from the knee down the right leg a bit, usually gets better with rest, ran sunday (11 miles) still a bit sore tho now so probs won't run til tomorrow...anybody had experience of shin splints? does this sound familiar? ......carlisle half in less than 2 weeks....any thoughts appreciated

Shin splint pain (from what I remember) eminates from the centre of the shin and is much worse going downhill - uphill is not too bad.
I found mine where worse when i ran on the road.....so....i do not run on tarmac!
