The FRA Handbook says over 18 for this, but the form says under 16??
What's the deal here regarding juniors? Have you got a short course or something or can they only do the walking event?

The walk is a 8.00am start the race is 10.00am, try and be registered by 9.15 if possible. buses are working a shuttle service and it's only 10 minutes away but I think the hope is to have the last bus leave c 9.30.

No problem. I'm not carrying them round with me though!

I'm used to following the short route leaders over the Bogmonsters lair, could be a completely different experience this time as those running the long are bound to be more spread out by there and should be there well ahead of the short route. Could be fun at the end getting chased down by those in the race too

I'm going out Friday morning to Flag the watershed. I'll let you know how dry it is.

Re U16 year olds I think they are welcome on the walks if accompanied by an adult. I can't get in contact with any one to get a definate answer but If it says O18 for race then that will be the age limit. I will try and get clarification though.

Race is registered with FRA and therefore the FRA rules stand.
    Rule 10 states age limits.

    RULE TEN
Race organisers must stipulate age limits for their events but the following maximum distance limits for juniors must be observed.
Ages are as at 1st January in the year of competition.
For FRA Fell Races, the minimum age for competition is six years, and the following distance limits must be applied.
    Under 8 - ½ mile (0.8k)
    Under 10 - 1 mile (1.6k)
    Under 12 - 2 miles (3.2k)
    Under 14 - 3 miles (4.8k)
    Under 16 - 4 miles (6.4k)
    Under 18 - 6 miles (9.6k)
