    the rest of the edge is really dry at the moment, (still a little moist in places).

    On Leaving CP1 follow path for a 2-300m then bare left to where I will be (Poss tent) or bright marker for the dryer crossing.

    Bringing me a bacon butty will increase the chances of a dryer line.

    Hello Andrew! I'll be up at 6am meself for brekky....in the DARK!

    Bogmonster quite subdued at the mo', doubt he'll claim too many victims. Ran around the Cut Gate-Outer Edge section of the route a couple of weekends ago with Datt and it was good firm going underfoot. No significant rain's fallen in weeks so it'll be nice and springy. Mind you, Datt did manage to go in almost up to his waist so the Bogmonster was lurking after all....

    Do you mean the CP1 of the short route then (at Cut Gate)? Isn't the CP1 on the long route in Langsett woods just at the top of where you go down the track to the bridge?

    Wasn't me, I've not done Borrowdale in years and not even made it to the lakes yet this year
