    I have decided not to race Langdale... Too unfit, it would have taken me something like 5 hours and that would have buggered my legs up for the relays next week

    Still going up to the Lakes though for a little run around, so Al, I will see you wizz past at Esk Hause then what vest will you be wearing?

    It is beautiful and sunny down here on the Welsh Borders

    Last year the weather the day before was atrocious and it took me something like 8 hours to get to Ambleside from S Wales, through floods and storm... Everyone said the race was ging to be cancelled... But lo and behold, the weather on the day was absolutely perfect! Even though the going was a bit wet in places... Had to drag a bloke out of a bog on Martcrag Moor... Saw him disappear up to his armpits a few metres in front of me. That is exactly why I like to follow someone along there Perfect bog detectors
