    The 4 1:25 OS map of the lakes, the wainwright book box-set, a running rucksack...maybe the omm10L or the inov 15L or 18 not sure yet.

    Trying to persuade the missus to buy me a Garmin Forerunner 305, so i can track distance without constantly needing to check a map and as it includes an HRM i can check i'm still alive &/or how much closer to death i am .

    Mind you, the kids have already written their letters to Santa asking for a Nintendo DS each (pink for my daughter, naturally ) so don't suppose the xmas kitty will strecth as far as what i want - sob...

    You don't need a tv Al, most certainly not!

    What is wrong with going out for a run or ride, reading a book, playing Scrabble or even helping your mum with the dishes/laundry/hoovering?

    I don't know where to start here .

    Hanneke, for some reason or other, imagines herself as a superior non-TV watching deity lording it over us mere bottom feeding, scumbag TV watchers. We're also not Dutch and we don't go bonkers over everything orange* so we must be the lowest of the low in hers discerning and knowing eyes.

    * Actually in my case this isn't true as my favourite running top is my orange HPM tee shirt, my favourite windproof is orange and my favourite watch has an orange strap

    My Christmas shopping will be done in Keswick after XOTF and anyone not happy with Kendal Mint Cake selection box is a Scrouge
