    Tetley tea

Almost threw my brew at the wall this afternoon, enough's enough. You pour the water in, nothing happens; you peer in and start mashing it and no matter how much mashing you do you can't get any flavour out. You give up and what you're left with is something that resembles bog water, you go for the milk and take a sip and it tastes like bog water. You may as well have squeezed your shoe out into a mug after a run up Gt Whernside and warmed it up. How does this crud sell? Who's buying it? Thompson's Punjana is less in price and has twice the taste so why oh why do people keep buying Tetley? Surely their round bag thing hasn't kept them going, people must have realised it tastes like canal water?

I would have thought you would be drinking Yorkshire tea. In my experience that has a larger dose per bag. I'm more of a rooibos man myself. I like to feel all virtuous and superior that I'm not addicted to caffeine.

We have some "extra strong" PG Tips (or something - might actually be Tetley) at home. My fella hasn't tried them yet though. I shall update in due course!

Have you been buying that imitation Tetley’s from the market?

Tetley tea is what keeps me going through the day; If I fancy something a little different I’ll have a cup of Twinings Chai with a ½ teaspoon of sugar….very nice

Yorkshire Tea for me usually, but I agree with Datt - a mug of Twinings Chai makes a pleasant change.

As bad as Tetley, made from a mish mash of cheap end budget plant strains just mixed together to get a reasonable flavour balance.

Thompson's Punjana is made from 100% pure Assam.

Forgive my ignorance but I have never heard of Punjana, let alone tried it!
