    Re: Today's poet

    The calm of the breeze envelops me,
    Caressing my shoulders and tickling my neck.
    It calls me forward through time and space.
    On bent knee, I wait.
    Leaves fall at my feet,
    Cascading from their perches high above.
    I close my eyes and inhale deeply.
    Flowers, herbs, grass and spice
    Move through the air,
    Like cars on a twisted track.
    In the distance,
    Birds are singing their sweet lullaby.
    Life is calm and appealing.
    For once, I feel prepared...
    For anything.

    Re: Today's poet

    At the end of the day,
    after all the work is done;
    At the end of the day,
    as we watch the setting sun;

    After all the trials,
    and after all the pain;
    After all the struggles,
    to make it through the day;
    I thank God for peace and rest,
    and for little smiles from you;

    I thank God for rising stars,
    and for little hugs from you;
    For there is no blessing,
    such as this I found so true:
    It’s such a pleasure just walking home
    at the end of the day with you!

    ahhhh....soothing words for this overexcited soul. What a strange old evening. I've almost run the full gamut of emotions tonight what with one thing and another. This is the perfect tonic before bed.

    And relax............

    Me too. I should have been having an early night tonight as I've got an early start tomorrow. A lot of things to do and my poetry, sorry paternity, leave is nearly through.

    I should have been researching 15 different species of flowers to choose which to draw onto a eight foot long panel...I've been commissioned to make a companion piece for the vegetable panel...oh well, tomorrow is another day! Thanks for a great read and a good laugh, Goodnight all.x

    You could use one of HHH's limerick plants - but don't grasp its stem!
