Yes that's true Hes. I wrote three 'cold weather' haiku yesterday while waiting to be picked up in the car but didn't post them as the sun came out later and it was a much warmer day. One of the others is below:

    rare Guangzhou sunshine
    warms ash grey concrete pavement
    cold visitor smiles
    Poacher turned game-keeper

Good morning all, some lovely verse late last night, DT as always I realy enjoy your haiku and X Runner i adored that running poem....

here is my last Robbie Burns for a while, have a lovely day everyone.....

A rose-bud, by my early walk
    R.Burns

A rose-bud, by my early walk
    Adown a corn-enclosèd bawk,
Sae gently bent its thorny stalk,
    All on a dewy morning.
Ere twice the shades o' dawn are fled,
In a' its crimson glory spread,
And drooping rich the dewy head,
    It scents the early morning.

Within the bush her covert nest
    A little linnet fondly prest;
The dew sat chilly on her breast,
    Sae early in the morning.
She soon shall see her tender brood,
The pride, the pleasure o' the wood,
Amang the fresh green leaves bedew'd,
    Awauk the early morning.

So thou, dear bird, young Jeany fair,
On trembling string or vocal air,
Shall sweetly pay the tender care
    That tents thy early morning!
So thou, sweet rose-bud, young and gay,
Shalt beauteous blaze upon the day,
And bless the parent's evening ray
    That watch'd thy early morning!

    A dozen red kites
Rise early on a warm breeze
    Circle and disperse

It’s that time of year to show we care
To help a charity with Pudsey bear
To get together to raise some money
With raffles, games or dressing up funny

All over the globe these children need
Your time and effort this year to succeed
For twenty-five years this charity has raised
So much money that you’d be amazed

Many lives have been improved so far
This year will grant that wish on a star
Together we can mend hearts and smiles
By giving spare cash over the miles

So this November please do your part
Give some money for a child’s fresh start
All you have to do is pick up the phone
Call from anywhere outside, work, or home

Do something good whilst having fun too
How ever you raise money is up to you
Change a life now, every penny counts
Watch with Pudsey as the money mounts

    Your hands

Steady on old girl you'll be getting too hot under collar and will need to sit down for a while to recover.
