Good years training then paid off it sounds!

I'm aiming to demolish my time set on sat by at least 40minutes, if not an hour. Might as well set the target high!

    Re: Full Tour of Pendle

Only been running 5 and 6 miles once a week for past couple of months, so i was well chuffed with 3hrs 40 .

It was bloody hard though-i think the run in on the road is the worst-i had to walk on the flat!! Completely out of gas!

Thanks for the organisation-i was staying at the Pendle Inn and saw the team setting everything up. The time and effort required by all these volunteers is much appreciated.

Apparently 2 runners dropped out and didnt return to race HQ to let people know.

I will never understand this? How many times did Kieran tell everyone at the start-if you drop out let a marshall know, let the finish line know. How much time does it take and how much extra stress does this cause the poor organiser? Madness.

    It was a great day-thankyou very much-back next year-sub 3 hours!

Never mind that, how about just some common chuffing courtesy?

And any news on the poor sod at CP9 in the bivvy bag? I assumed it was a marshall just keeping warm, as everyone around him was so chipper.

Even more basic than that - if proven, they broke rule 8, which is designed to prevent needless searching.
"All competitors must ensure that if they retire from a fell race for any reason the fact must be reported as soon as possible to the race officials, including those at the finish. Race organisers MUST report infringements of this rule to the FRA Secretary."

The checkpoint 9 marshall asked if I could get him back to the finish as I was only out on a training run. He was in the race, lying 12th apparently, when he badly sprained his ankle. With support, he hobbled to the road and I zoomed off to get my car. He received a lift before I got back to him. Saw him back in Barley and he assured me he'd checked in as a non-finisher. Thanks to Wharfeego for assisting also.
