[XRunner]

I promised myself not to look in on the thread until I had drawn both the snowdrops and the crocuses...oooops!

Snowdrops and Crocus
The fragile snowdrops appear
Proclaiming the promise of Spring;
Just at the very sight of them
My heart begins to sing.

They seem so frail and delicate;
White bells on stalks of green;
A wonderful carpet of white,
Breaking through the Winter scene.

Next to appear are the crocus
Hues of yellow, purple and white,
A different coloured carpet,
Another wonderful sight.

Goodbye, goodbye to Winter,
That's the message the flowers convey,
Soon the sun will warm the earth,
Now that Spring is on the way.

The trees

The trees are coming into leaf
Like something almost being said;
The recent buds relax and spread,
Their greenness is a kind of grief.

Is it that they are born again
And we grow old? No, they die too,
Their yearly trick of looking new
Is written down in rings of grain.

Yet still the unresting castles thresh
In fullgrown thickness every May.
Last year is dead, they seem to say,
Begin afresh, afresh, afresh.

Are we not bothering with winter this year?!

I used to think sometimes i was running from
but now with the help of some very wise friends
I realise
I am running to
L(l)I(o)F(v)E(e)

i know i know , i am getting a bit predictable...just wanted to say thanks to you guys thats all!

Feelings mutual. I'll be predictable now - I still think this spot is a lovely place.
