Much as I'd love to have there Geoff,
NO SUBSTITUTIONS!!!!! and NO EOD
Went for a last gentle trip over Bleaklow to rain guage and back to check the route conditions still very wet, quite a bit of snow and the odd patch of ice.
about 10 miles 1,500ft cold and claggy
Bumped in to a walker on route who asked us are we reccing Tanky's??
Us Sir! No Sir! Whats Tanky's?
Apparently he was out reccying for his son !!!!! How lazy is that

, perhaps he's just tapering

He mentioned he was from Glossopdale and I told him I knew Julien, We then admitted we were going to do Tanky's He then proceeded to give us lots of tips on crossing Bleaklow and route choice. I felt a bit guilty later so can I say I'm sorry
So pass this on to Neil McG of Glossopdale ( i think thats whose dad he was)
