    Alas not me but that sounds brilliant! Glad you had a good day. I'm hoping for similar on Sunday at Eskdale Eureka.

    No running today for me either Mossy! Some of that snow and sun would be nice at Marsden Edale on Sunday

    Hello Bards

    been trying to catch up with some of the stuff posted

    Here's another

    We would eat roast beef and Yorkshire pudding
    on Sunday afternoons
    Apple pie and canned cream for afters
    Consumed with EPNS spoons

    The gravy made from the juice of meat
    and a little cornflour
    Just like quick setting concrete
    it was hard within the hour

    The plates were cold on which lunch was served
    and none of them were matching
    But none of this I didn't mind
    I still think it's rather catching

    Re: Today's poet

    Some thoughts from my favourite....

    it may not always be so;and i say

    it may not always be so;and i say
    that if your lips,which i have loved,should touch
    another's,and your dear strong fingers clutch
    his heart,as mine in time not fara away;
    if on another's face your sweet hair lay
    in such a silence as i know,or such
    great writhing words as,uttering overmuch,
    stand helplessly before the spirit at bay;

    if this should be,i say if this should be--
    you of my heart,send me a little word;
    that i may go unto him,and take his hands,
    saying,Accept all happiness from me.
    Then shall i turn my face,and hear one bird
    sing terribly afar in the lost lands.

    e e cummings

    Mmm. Not sure about this one freckle - surely the following line should have read...

    that i may go unto him,and take his hands
    ...and rip them off!

    Perhaps it's just me being a passionate, unforgiving vindicitive jealous type!
