Undecided whether to get a frontal lobotomy tonight and then run up torside clough!! Lol

Only joking I will be going up wild boat clough and saving myself at least 20 mins.

Good luck to all especially those brave soles who choose to extend the race by navigational choice- rather you than me

    Sleep well!

before I made my choice I ran different options, timed them and measured the distances.

never more than 5 minutes difference, and perhaps 0.5 mile on my 2 optimum routes going either way.

Wild Boat Clough eh! It's wet but not that wet..........!

Leaders going well through Crowden. Overhead conditions improving but still must be very wet underfoot. Most of the early leaders seem to be going left at the check point and hence up either Lawrence Edge or Wild Boar Clough.

    if only

    just got home

Well done to all competitors, It was a toughy today, lots of water, mud ,wind, hail. very soft under foot but at least there was no snow around.

All competitors returned safe and sound and sort of looking happy. plenty of muddy smiley faces.

Did any one else fall off the submerged bridge on the climb up Blackhill? I was glad Grouse was just in front to show me where not to go

    From memory

Well done to Adam on his race win, not sure how old he was but must have been one of the youngest in the race.

    Daz Second Fine effort
joint third was Julien and Mark O followed in by last years winner Matt

First lady was Karen D in 8 or 9th

First team were Dark Peak ( Due to Tankys Rule of first 4 from a club) on points Pennine would have got it by a single point so I put some extra beer in the Pennine bus to compensate.

Ladies team was won by Dark Peak

I managed to scrape in 6th beating my target time with 3.24.

I'll post full results as soon as they are sent through.

Thanks to the Tanky's family and helpers and also to the rest of Woodhead team. it will have been a long day on the hills for them.

    Cheers all
