Me and Mrs.Stagger got swept up by the sweepers last year, she was worried about coming last but there was no way i'd let her steal my moment of glory! Sadly i was cheated out of it by some runners forcing me to overtake them, what a liberty

We nearly came last didn't we? not a nice feeling but luckily for us we met some runners who had also gone wrong and were behind us so we put a spurt on and left them for dead, well nearly!

It was tough last year in the snow and the roads were icy too, like running through sand. You'll do a lot better this year without me Merry.

A good race but tough last year in that snow.
    Good luck Linda and Trevor.x
Didnt know you was a organising, take my hat off.

I was exhausted after the race last year Its a toughie
I had my arm twisted Daz. It's a big job organising two races at the same time but hopefully I'll have lots of helpers. I'll make sure we have a marshall at the end of the lane to guide runners in.

Aye, we were speed demons over the last few miles
Won't make any predictions about next year, may get lost by myself, managed that on Bleaklow last weekend
Whatever happens, i'll be happy with it, don't call me GT!
    Best get myself entered

Did this last year for the first time. I got to the end, absolutely knackered as you'd expect after the last climb up, only to find that you had to run round the field by the club house before finishing. THe catch was that you aren't told this in advance, & when I got there there was no sign & no marshall to direct me. I got to the club house only to be told I had to go back down the road & round the field. I lost 2 places : people I'd slogged my guts out to pass on the way up the hill. Local race for local people? OK I was way down the field, but it mattered to me as much as to anyone else in the race. Nobody apologised, & I just went home. I won't be doing this one again.

Great race, first time i did it thougth it was tougher than the three peaks, by the time i got back to cock hill cramps all way to the finish, punished, as for finish not marked, i always ask at the start the finish is, thats the easy part of training for a challenge.

Really sorry you had a bad experience at the finish Splatcher. This is my first year organising the Trog and will take on board any feedback from anyone who's done the race before. I think running round the cricket field is complusory but I'll make sure there are marshals to guide you in.

Hope you change your mind and decide to run it next year.
