No taper for me, BGR training means doing the three peaks whilst already knackered. THat's a perfect start line excuse right there. I might take a couple of days off before but I need to keep the 10,000' a week quota up.
Not sure how much a taper is of benefit anyway. I've tapered for races and then not done so in future years and found that it didn't make much difference. Not suggesting tapering is bad, but much of how you do in long races is in your head i reckon...
