Other than going up skiddaw, the nearest lump id suggest is walla crag. You can run along the lake from keswick to ashness bridge, up the hill to ashnes bridge (that section is on road) then hit the trod all the way to walla crag. It isnt loads but its a nice route. The from there theres a few bigger lumps which we would could head over to if we had any spare time/energy left...and then its simple back to keswick. 1hr 30 mins if its just up and down the other side of walla crag.

Other than that you've got alsorts....catbells and beyond, causey pike....the fells by bassenthwaite which i dont know at all.

    Wheres my map.

Depends on the severity of the hangover, and whether I need to do any early Christmas shopping. I was also thinking of maybe doing the Stoop on the way home.

I know the BG route quite well?

bit keen with the Christmas shopping Steve. What's up, are Tescos and the local garage shutting early on the 24th or what?
