Another bright day with sunnier intervals and variable cloud. Isolated showers will continue to occur, falling as snow above 450m, but many places staying dry throughout the day. Winds remaining strong to gale force.
and elsewhere it says

Full winter clothing, footwear and equipment are essential for anyone venturing out onto the fells.
Sounds like shorts weather to me.
