Of course it’s quiet...
We have all gone home for Christmas
Just been round the woods with Ernie. We sat on a wall and listened. Its so quite tonight. What a great walk with just the crunch of the snow under foot and the dogs tags jingling, he could be a raindeer
I went round Fewston reservoir earlier and it was like a scene from Narnia, the snow's that sticky snowman snow and it's stuck to everything, it's piled up 1" high on most of the twigs on trees. There was absolutely no wind and the reservoir was like a millpond. There was the occasional shuffle of a Robin rooting in the leaves or the scratching of a Grey Squirrel escaping up a tree but apart from that all i could hear was that familiar crunch of deep snow, perhaps interrupted by the harsh warning cry of waterfowl far off in the mist. It was a really magical wintery walk and i wish i could have turned it into a longer trail run.
Well, what happened to Boxing Day?
Just need a cure now for the hangover.
Tried breakfast
Been out in fields for an hour with Ernie
Drunk 2 litres of water since getting up
And still feel ill.

Not managed to get drunk this festive period yet! :/
Mainly because I've been working the wrong side of the bar, ah well!
A relatively sober Christmas for me and all the better for it too
