thanks to wynn and steve for letting me run last minute , and also thanks to the marshalls and helpers
i tried to keep up with geoff b but just couldnt quite manage it , the weather was great and some great company , beats a road race anyday , one of the best races ive ever done .
i mean what more could you ask for and to round it off some luvley forum lady smiles at the finish, cool

i picked up a blue pete bland bag with green rover bottoms and a montane yellow top in it , pm if its yours i will send it on
it was at the side of the road

Swoop obviously didn't try hard enough judging by the quality of his puns when he was coming down to Skelgil Farm.

    What a great day!!

Lovely to meet some forumites. Great route over some lovely fells. Food was very nice, cake even better and beer the best of the lot!!

Happy enough with my time, hadn't done a recce and didn't feel too good at first but picked up in the end to finish 2:22:00. Will be back to improve on that next year!

Oh, forgot to say special thanks to Swoop for showing me the shortcut from Dalehead tarn to High Spy

Did anyone wear a garmin thingy? Interested to know what it says about distance and ascent. Put the route onto digital map and it came out near enough to the 11.25m quoted ..... but reckoned it was over 4000ft of ascent (or did I go the wrong way?)
