It's snowing again here in south Manchester. I measured 6" depth last night in my back garden. It's the most I've ever known in a single fall.
snowing again here. there are bushes in the garden that have disapeared!

nearer 16 inches here. We have icicles hanging off the conservatory 18inches long.

I'm stuck indoor when I want to be taking my fatboy ski's on to Kinder for some steep and deep skiing

I only want to get off the estate and get back on as main roads are reasonable for travelling on round here provided you take it carefully. Everybody must have the same idea at the moment.
You can definitely get them i've had a price for Vredestein Snowtrac before, can't remember but i think they were circa £60 per tyre for 14", prices obviously go up with size. If they're stored out of the way of sunlight they should last for over 10yrs easy. I used to do the green lanes in winter in my skoda 130 with them and it was so much fun, if your car is RWD beware unless you fit 4 you'll still have little steering, i use them on driven wheels and corner carefully.

Just started my new job in the South East.

I made it 130 miles yesterday. Took me 2hr 20 mins door to door (train, not driving!). Another bloke in my office took the same to come 15 miles and another 2 didn't make it in!

Someone measured minus 13 on their car thermometer at 9am here in Hazel Grove. No wonder my legs had a healthy rosy glow to them after the run in.

-14 degrees at home this morning according to my car, & -15 according to a neighbour's. We're only 5 - 10 metres above sea level.

The mini ice age they warned us was coming when I was at school is finally upon us.
Great pictures by the way, Nikalas. I can't believe how much snow is up there as it's not far from where I live.

    Re: Snow??

My car temperature thing flashes when it falls below 3 degree celcius (to warn you that there *might* be ice )

However it must just be set to recognise the 3 bit and not the minus bit as it stops flashing once you get to -4 degrees just as it does at +4! I don't think it was expecting these temperatures
