Started again here.
Here too (working near Alderley Edge). I've been watching it come in on http://www.raintoday.co.uk/. Not sure whether to cut & run or not. There's a severe weather warning out for Cheshire.
We had light snow here in Stockport from late morning on and off until after dark. It's made the grubby half melted mess all nice and white again - which is nice. What's even nicer is the fact that it's made it a bit safer to walk on again.
I've been gripped by some of the accounts on here. So much unbelievable snow. IDP, your collapsing cornice experience is a bit dramatic. Glad you survived unscathed.
I've just described my far more mundane experiences of the first week in 2010 here. There are plenty of pictures to go at (the full set is linked at the end).
The fresh snow made it great for walking over Sponds and Bowstones today, but would have been frustrating running - 4 good steps then whoops - down to the knee.
Rain down here today plus thaw of lying snow so very wet. There is quite a lot of lying snow however so we also have mist/fog reducing visibility to about 250m or less. Of course we've had nothing like the quantities of snow that many of you have been reporting, but still pretty special for running. All our XCs have been cancelled but a hastily arranged trail race last Sunday attracted 50 runners to cover 13 frozen/snowy miles.
As predicted:

Nearly all gone here, but looking at BBC long range, snow should be kicking back mid-week.
Schaaweeet.
