Ooohh how exciting, a haiku anthology has arrived in the post! I am resisting the temptation to settle down and devour it as I have too many things I need to do but I opened it at this:

    morning surf
    a dog fills the sky
    with seagulls

    Jim Boyd

Very nice image, I think. Hope you all have a good day.

Oh my God, I have just been perusing the first 2500 posts (ask me why later!) and came across the fell poets' society running vest debate! Brilliant. Can't believe I missed it and some really great ideas. I do love OW's code idea...that appeals to me as I often embed layers into my prints that give them extra meaning which may only be decipherable to some people. Also really liked HHH's haiku:

    Right one to follow?
    Wandering lonely as a cloud.
    Please take your own Plath

Very funny, also appeals to my ability to get sidetracked by creative thoughts whilst running.

Poor you Freckle, I only ever had to sell a house once but it was a pretty traumatic experience. Keep on getting out on those fells and letting the weather clear your head...or if it gets too bad...poetry and snecklifter might help a little!x

I think that was a suggestion for what to put on the back of the vests. I think we'd left the front design to our resident artist. Just another thing to add to your list of "procrastinations to do"

I've started the bad habit of doing haiku anagrams when I'm struggling to write. This isn't as good as the original mind you.

    The silence of my lips
    against snowflakes
    I brush his coat.

(It could be "coat his brush" if it was about a painter and decorator! Or an artist come to think of it!)
