    In My Dreams
    by Stevie Smith

    In my dreams I am always saying goodbye and riding away,
    Whither and why I know not nor do I care.
    And the parting is sweet and the parting over is sweeter,
    And sweetest of all is the night and the rushing air.

    In my dreams they are always waving their hands and saying goodbye,
    And they give me the stirrup cup and I smile as I drink,
    I am glad the journey is set, I am glad I am going,
    I am glad, I am glad, that my friends don't know what I think.

    It is magical meeting deer like that.
    I bet they are glad the snow has gone and can find a bit more food.

    I enjoyed your haiku anagram HHH, that's a great idea and I think I'll try it myself sometime. This is from my run

    running through woods
    thoughts untangle as mind stills
    and then - two deer

    they appeared fleetingly in front of me...magic!

    Evening young Harry.........

    The Lake Isle of Innisfree
    W.B. Yeats

    I will arise and go now, and go to Innisfree,
    And a small cabin build there, of clay and wattles made:
    Nine bean-rows will I have there, a hive for the honey-bee;
    And live alone in the bee-loud glade.

    And I shall have some peace there,
    for peace comes dropping slow,
    Dropping from the veils of the morning
    to where the cricket sings;

    There midnight's all a glimmer,
    and noon a purple glow,
    And evening full of the linnet's wings.
    I will arise and go now, for always night and day

    I hear lake water lapping with low sounds by the shore;
    While I stand on the roadway,
    or on the pavements grey,
    I hear it in the deep heart's core.

    Re: Today's poet

    I have always enjoyed this poem by W.B.Yeats:

    Is thíos in Gort na Saileán
    sea casadh dom mo rún
    Ba luath a cos ar féar ann
    is ba luaineach a leagan siúil
    Sé dúirt sí liom bheith suaimhneach
    mar a fhásann duilliúr is bláth
    Ach bhí mise óg is uaibhreach
    is níor éist mé le guth mo ghrá.

    Is thíos cois abhann go déaneamh
    sea sheas mé le mo ghrá
    Gualainn ar ghualainn le chéile
    is leag sí orm lámh
    Sé dúirt sí liom bheith suaimhneach
    mar a fhásann féar aníos
    Ach bhí mise óg is uabhreach
    'stá na deoira anois mo chloí
