Guilt free meat.

Scientist grows pork chop in lab,
Now i wish they'd grow a kebab,
The pork chop is silly,
As it's no good with chilli,
And may end in you having a jab.

In My Dreams

In my dreams I am always saying goodbye and riding away,
Whither and why I know not nor do I care.
And the parting is sweet and the parting over is sweeter,
And sweetest of all is the night and the rushing air.


In my dreams they are always waving their hands and saying goodbye,
And they give me the stirrup cup and I smile as I drink,
I am glad the journey is set, I am glad I am going,
I am glad, I am glad, that my friends don't know what I think.

It is magical meeting deer like that.
I bet they are glad the snow has gone and can find a bit more food.

Just back from my run then dashing out again - DT, Mossdog, Freckle, HHH, Tri-mind...you are all on great form as usual. Those two love poems were incredible. What a brilliant thing this thread is!

I enjoyed your haiku anagram HHH, that's a great idea and I think I'll try it myself sometime. This is from my run

what a great story and a lovely haiku Hes...it reminded me of the robert frost "two look at two" i tried to cut and past it but no joy, worth a look

Evening young Harry.........

The Lake Isle of Innisfree
W.B. Yeats

I will arise and go now, and go to Innisfree,
And a small cabin build there, of clay and wattles made:
Nine bean-rows will I have there, a hive for the honey-bee;
And live alone in the bee-loud glade.

And I shall have some peace there,
for peace comes dropping slow,
Dropping from the veils of the morning
to where the cricket sings;

There midnight's all a glimmer,
and noon a purple glow,
And evening full of the linnet's wings.
I will arise and go now, for always night and day

I hear lake water lapping with low sounds by the shore;
While I stand on the roadway,
or on the pavements grey,
I hear it in the deep heart's core.
