The worrying thing is, as I'm struggling to decide, and narrow it down to one, I can see myself going to a tattooist and saying "gimme the works!".

Also thinking of getting my achievements on the inside of my bicep in a regimental battle honours scroll stylee. At the moment though, with just the MdS to my name, it'll look a bit lame

I'm gonna give it some time, and if I'm still dallying with this idea in 6mo time or so, I might begin to take it seriously.
Yeh it's worth the time to think about it as there's no going back - but that's stating the obvious
    Liking the ideas though

It's also worth spending time to find the right tattooist too lots of great artists out there.

How about an interim tattoo saying "image loading". That way you can leave it as long as you want to decide, while still gaining credit from your tattoo-liking peers.

When you make up your mind, you just need a bit of solid black on the image. This also means it will have to be a large and painful one - more respect from those that way inclined.

Be wary of cover ups though... I had a 3 inch tattoo covered up with a 3 foot one

My super wife was not too pleased when I had her initials inked on my hip twelve years ago. SMU. I have told her that if ever the relationship goes belly up I'm adding to it so it says SMURFETTE!

Would still be useful abroad though, wouldn't it?

That's the other thing, would need to save up to go to a top calibre artist. This is one thing I would't want to compromise on!

    Love your idea Noel!

    Check out the tat mags.
Our kid found a top US artist was coming over for a week, and on the strength of the magazine article got in touch and booked him for 1 out of his 7 days.... Hate to think of the cost of that 1
