Every day is a fresh beginning,
Listen my soul to the glad refrain.
    And, spite of old sorrows
    And older sinning,
    Troubles forecasted
    And possible pain,
Take heart with the day and begin again

A lovely way to start the day that DT.....

    Here is another Yeats...

    Brown Penny
I whispered, 'I am too young,'
    And then, 'I am old enough';
    Wherefore I threw a penny
To find out if I might love.
'Go and love, go and love, young man,
If the lady be young and fair.'
Ah, penny, brown penny, brown penny,
I am looped in the loops of her hair.

O love is the crooked thing,
    There is nobody wise enough
To find out all that is in it,
For he would be thinking of love
Till the stars had run away
And the shadows eaten the moon.
Ah, penny, brown penny, brown penny,
One cannot begin it too soon.

Nice one DT. I had a boring run today with very little inspiration. I might just have to make something up!

Ha ha...that's good! Glad you were the victor. I have had a boring day but it has been productive, car and house clean and just preparing tomorrow's classes so I may pop in now and again.

This is a great haiku DT. Poached spam? My mind boggles. Well done on the race, is that the second in two days?
