    This is too easy
I cannot lie, they are one and the same, so I look forward to meeting you and checking your kit in minute detail, in time for you to start Leg 4.

Its really down to the runners to present themselves to the kit checker who will be there at the start of each leg. You could if you so desired avoid the kit checker although this wouldnt be in the spirit of the sport. 2 years ago we disqualified one of our own teams when one of the runners who avoided the kit checker set off without the kit and was handed a bum bag halfway round his leg. This was spotted by a following team and quite rightly reported.......his 9 team mates who ran their tripe out were not impressed.......hope everone understands and helps us out on the day......thanks

Tom, I hope that your mum has neatly pressed your cag, trousers, hat & gloves. She won't want you showing her up in front of everybody.

We have an ironing service at the start of each leg in case your mum is not available (not included in the entry fee)

Hopefully parking should be better this year at Callis Bridge (2nd changeover) where it has been a bit of a problem in the past. The parking area off Jumble Hole Road by the old CVS plumbers merchants has now been taken over by a new owner who is more receptive to the event. The area has been resurfaced and as the premises will be closed on Sunday we can get more cars on there. It will be locked until our marshals get there at around 8.00am. We have had to make a considerable payment for use of this area but it will be worth it if it makes things easier for everyone on the day.
The Menzolit car park down the road will also still be available

The A 646 Burnley to Todmorden Road will be closed at its junction with the A671 for work on the railway bridge at GR SD859302 on the Sunday of the event. For those travelling from the Rossendale or Burnley area the road to Walk Mill/Cliviger/Holme Chapel is closed.
To gain access to the first changeover at the Long Causway you will have to continue into Burnley turning right at the traffic lights and going past Turf Moor.(Burnley Football ground ) heading towards Worsthorne. Access to the Long Causway road can then be regained at Mereclough.
This will add possibly 5-10 minutes to your journey. Anyone travelling from the Todmorden area will not be affected.
Anyone know if this is still a problem?
