no where near as much snow as mid week Andy but yes me and Nik met up and went up near Black clough over Bleaklow meadows ( where we were looking on Tuesday) and up to the wreck. Snow had the consistency of slippy granite and having touring skis I could skin up . Nik tried in Fishscales (skis not tightsOriginally Posted by Marvin
) and struggled with grip. very cold on top. A bit of fresh snow and it will be great up there. paths were very icy

Conditions for a HPM recce are superb with all the groughs filled with diamond hard snow you can run any where with out fear of the bog monster
