Evening Hes, had a look at your website after HHH posted a link to it on here, your one talented artist, some beautiful work on there, especially like the Fallen Angel

Pablo.

When i read Pablo's poems i feel humble,
He enunciates with such clarity while i just mumble,
His passion soul and love for his life,
Makes me want to improve be sharp as a knife.

The emotion his writing exudes time and again,
I realise i must write from the heart feel love and pain,
Such beauty in the language he chooses to use,
To have work beside him would have been an offer you couldn't refuse.

I will try to caress the words as he does in his poetry,
And hope i can be a writer like him with passion and dignity,
To be a poet with a tenth of his talent would truly be great,
Until then i shall have to work hard and wait.

Hi Tri, I've got to say that I agree with HHH in that I am uncomfortable with critiquing people's original work on the thread because I love the spirit here that we can all write something and we are not being judged. I've written stuff that I feel proud of and poems that were awful but I enjoyed writing for the humour and I have also written poems because I needed to share something heartfelt and the poetry was secondary to the sentiment. The one thing I would say is that in this poem you say that Pablo makes you realise that you must write from the heart, feel love and pain...I think that you always do write from your heart and your subjects are rarely easy ones. If this poem doesn't work so well as the others, maybe it is because you are doing yourself a disservice in it?

Fallen Angel

Demon of the day, angel of the night
He is torn between the darkness and the light
The path he walks, he walks alone
He travels around, for which he has no home

People fear him as he passes by
He trusts no one, his life was a lie
He walks in an unbearable shame
As he remembers his unforgettable name

His bleeding heart is freezing over
As he watches the eternal night grow older
Wanting his immortal soul to end
As he watches the Northern Lights start to blend

Just been for a late Christmas meal with friends from a gallery where I exhibit my work and occasionaly work at, the menu could have been poetry. The only downside was that the one meat eater there ordered 'locally shot saddle of hare'. Pigeon, rabbit, lamb, etc no probs but local hares...eek: That's one of my models she was eating.
