Ahhhhh... I know I can crawl up the Devil's Staircase, that is at least something... and I never bothered taking the compact I put on for TdG off, so that is convenient as well...

Well I suspect we are both going to have top defer to a higher authority on this. To whit, the 1955 edition of the Guiness Book of Records, the Holy Grail according to St. Ray C Shred, the Keeper of Arcane Knowledge. For it was he who supplied the list for our 1992 jaunt and none of those involved have since been cast into road-running for ascending the wrong summits!

I am also a disciple of St Shred and arcanely Flintshire is Flintshire, detached or otherwise, so Moel Fammau has it!
In any case I just googled the postcode for Bettisfield, it gave me an English one, in Shropshire!!! Not going there!

Erm, btw, done the route, gulp, including some gratuitous and unnecessary but ultimately aesthetically pleasing cols
And sorry L'escalier du diable is out unless we take 6 days rather than 5......

Oh well, it was fun attempting to throw a spanner into your plans!

No such thing as an English or Welsh postcode BTW, just a postcode. They don't follow the country boundaries.

Rhys, your efforts are nothing compared to the massive spanners of physical degradation and mental diminution of those taking part!

Such a pitty to miss out on 'Escalier du Diable' on this occasion... Any other lovely's included to make up for this omission?

Any ideas of routes on days etc yet, so I can start taking my pick?

Is it obvious that I am completely insane? As I am clearly jumping up and down with excitement about this severe punishment already...

I think what I probably meant was that depending where you are in Bettisfield you can have a Shropshire postal address or not perhaps.......

In any case Steam Bunny rules preclude the inclusion of "summits" lower than that found in Wheeze's garden
