Hehe thanks, its taken its toll though!

Got work soon as well, think a stool will be propping me up behind the bar tonight!

    Well done too

Managed to stay in touch with the lead group till Withins, then died on the way up from the res, died again halfway between 11 and 12, but held a good line all the way between them, stuffed my face with jellies and I was off again. Somehow nailed the shortcut from 12 to 13, but then as soon as I touched the trig, got 2 huge cramps one in each thigh, managed to run them off on the downhill, then trundled up the killer finish

How this isn't rated an A category I don't know, and its well more like 23 miles and 4500ft I reckon!

EDIT - X Talons were supreme, didn't slip once. Impressed.

Photos here. Started editing and then gave up, so there's multiple pics of some and only one of others - don't take it personally! A mixture of full and half Trog, from various points.

I think I even managed a smile for you!

That was hard! (not the smiling) - slipped on ice heading from Top o t' Stairs to Withens and strained my groin. Bonked on the way to CP 12 then got led astray by a band of loose women on the way to CP 13 before I figured we were wrong and got back on the right track. Reasonably pleased with 4:27

Crikey that was fun! Took me approx 4.50 which is within the 5 hours I was aiming for but slower than I could have been due to running with a club mate who was expecting more of a hike! Thanks to Alf for shortcut tips; managed to chop off a corner on the way to CP6 and made the short cut from CP12 to CP13 (comedy moment when we reached CP13 to see a few runners approaching it from the opposide direction ). From CP11 to CP12 we made the stones ok then lost sight of all others and felt quite lost until we lucked out and hit the right path.

Great organisation all round (although I did think that a bit too much of the course was flagged).

Good pics, i look knackered and felt it.
That bug i had earlier in the week took it's toll.
Couldn't find cp13 for love or money.
Tough race though, was on for a half decent time too.
Thanks to all the organisers and marshalls
