    wow-where do I start?
Big thanks to the organisers, what a superb day and the smiliest ,chattiest, most encouraging marshalls ever! Manhar, your tights and shoes combo was classic and made me smile when I was nervous at the start!

Huge thanks to the angel who helped me round-Chris, you were so kind and I learnt so much, even if I couldn't keep up with you at the end! I think I had my first ever bonk! I was knackered after CP 13, staggering all over and just wanted to lie down in the tussocks!

Flagging at end of route? -I am all for it. I don't think I would have finished without it. By this stage, extreme fatigue and no one around, it was a god send as I kept saying, "just do one more bit then you can lie down"!! So please keep it-it would be disheartening at such a late stage in the race to go off course?

UKHursty-bloody hell mate! You beauty! I knew you were going for it but that was a supreme effort. Well done! Such a shame you can't do the 3PPP's-you'd have a mega time in that one!

A fantastic day, at the moment I am thinking "never again"!! (which probably means see you all again next year!!)

That might have been me in the new 330's. Bambi on Ice down the flags.

Can't believe I went wrong between 12 and 13 again. Last year I went too far right and ended up going back up hill to 13, this year went too far left following footprints!

First time I've had my compass out in 3 years. Wish I'd taken more notice of it, rather than the footprints!

    Mounsey.
In answer to your question "NOTHING LEFT". I was knackered.

Thanks to Mrs S and CV for organising.

    Stagger,
Am I edging away from being a "knobber"???????

    Well done all......Great Race.

it might have been me. I was part of 'group' following a bloke to cp 13. After 5 mins of heather I decided we were heading wrong way so just carted off... Turns out I was going the wrong way and I finished in 4.42. Met you (??) at the finish to check what time you finished in and to see how lost I got!! Turned out guy we were heading had gps

Very well organised event and to be able to train a bull to chase us near the finish is just amazing.
    Thanks to all involved

It was a hard event for me as is always the first race of the year. Big thanks to Simon Bourne of Calder Valley for his navigation. We had a great battle and the race seemed to take a twist near the finish with quite a few navigational errors creeping in to shake the results a little.

The last hill is fantastic, all races sould finish like that.

I ran my arse off and Captain Stagger asked me where id been . Great
Very cold, very claggy, what more could you want.

    Thumbs up Re: Wadsworth Trog

Good to see everyone had a memorable day yesterday - very well done in getting round.

Key moments - being told to "Sod of" by Anti Social - I think he was trying to live up to his name - but I get the impression he's just a big Softie really

Shaun and Rachel-must admit did laugh out loud at myself when I read your 1st paragraph - I know, I know I really ought to buy a pair of trail / walking shoes.

Tea & Cakes delicious cake and the wonderful soup put on by the cricket club ladies.

Thank you to Mr & Mrs Stagger for putting on the race (hope you both had a well earned glass of wine / beer when it was all over) and the generous praise from all quarters for my small part - always a pleasure to help.
