    Re: Tonight's Real Ale

Well, had a cracking day of Ale yesterday.

Started off with 5 bottles, which were

    Deuchars
    Spitfire
    Directors
    Wychwood Hobgoblin
    MarstonsTangle Foot

Then went out to a couple of pubs and had pints of

    Phoenix - Arizona
Osset - Silver King (still the best ever )
    Hopstar - Dizzy dally
    Hopstar - JC

    and one more I've forgotten!

    I'm resting atm

After realising I had twice as many posts on this thread than anyone else then seeing how many empties I had to take for recycling I decided to have a few days off

Daily pint? Looks like you're in credit 'til middle of next week

I've always enjoyed going to the pub but seem to have developed habit of drinking most nights at home. Not huge amounts but more than perhaps feels right. Not sure what's worse 2 or 3 pints per night or a weekend 'binge'?

Thing is in the summer I'm much more likely to go out for an hour's walk or bike ride. Roll on the light nights and a pint outside the Fleece watching the swifts zoom by

I'd have thought brandy might be more appropriate or a dram of whiskey given it's gonna be taters!

Actually treating myself tonight, not been drinking at all really, the odd 1 maybe once a fortnight - bottle/pint that is not gallon! anyway, having an iced cold pear cider....just a wee one mind quite pleasant it is too...only had a couple of sips and the cheeks are feeling flushed already, I've become a very cheap date!
