There you go. My own mapping of the route.

Definitely Threshfield. I believe that the event did used to be a 27 miler from Bolton Abbey some years ago.

Stolly the only kit requirements on most LDWA events is a good appetite! Oh, and the ability to dig in late into the event when some fella with a big Captain Birdseye beard, in corduroy breeches and a big pair of leather boots comes sailing by

Lovely route although it'd be even better with a quick scoot up to Simon's Seat

Will there be a staggered start with runners setting off an hour later? I love reeling in all the eyes out power ramblers!

It's a very runnable course set in great countryside. Navigation wise it's not too difficult either. I'm sure you will enjoy it.

Er, runnable? Navigation??? My master plan was to walk the ups, shuffle the flats and go as fast as I can on the downs but haven't done anything of this distance for several months. Can't wait!

Hi MG, my Pony vest is the old classic black one, I will shout a compliment to your pink one as you flash by me and vanish into the mists beyond.

I’ve just entered the Trollers Trot (a route description is e-mailed to you for those who were querying the route). I’m thinking it might be a push to get there for 7.30am from Leeds so does anyone have a recommendation for a B&B/hotel nearby?

I stayed at the Forresters Arms in Grassington last year the night before which was fine. The Hall Inn in Threshfield is nice with large roaring fires.

Unfortunately I'm not staying over this time so it will be a very early start.

Behind You - since you will be in black/white Pony colours, and MG in pink, I will be sure to pack my fluo-green vest - your walk/shuffle/coast plan is the same as mine, so we may be seeing a lot of each other!

    Daz,
You might have to remove my name from your list. My attendance is looking decidedly dodgy as my left foot will be in plaster.
