Thanks Merry. I intend to. I'll see how comfortable the cast is, to see if I might walk round the events for a few weeks. (Only joking - slightly.)

oh dear that is not good news at all. Are you going to put a prettier photo on the blog? And take up a new hobby? Or cycle round watching or helping check points? Gosh the choices - even if you would rather be choosing which events to run!

You've got it, socks. Blog pic sorted. I'm already thinking about getting to some events in a non-mobile capacity, but as of now I cannot cycle or drive and I can barely walk.

Daz, has anyone ever told you you're cruel and heartless?

Is anyone doing the Walk to 'Ell and Back from Greetland Allrounders on the 7th March? It's on my doorstep and I didn't even know it existed. I've really got into the LDWA events since the Hebden 22.

I'll probably do it again, did it last year, know the route well, done it many times as a training run.

    Re: LDWA events

It'd be fair to describe it as much lower key than The Hebden. I first met Chris Brown there a few years back as the two of us comprised the entirety of the massed runners start. (Well, there was a lady runner too, but she decided to wander off to the toilet at start time.) We ran together as he didn't know where he was going, and we crossed the finish together. As such, it was my only ever race win: equal first out of two. (Or maybe out of three, if the lady runner actually set off after her intensive nose-powdering.)

Worth doing, but personally, I think I'm probably running the Half Tour of Pendle the day before.

I've entered. Did it last year. It's a lovely route - and one of those that you can delight the kids with by pointing out where you ran everytime you go on the motorway!!!! One thing I found was that the food was good, but I could have done with more earlier on - will take my own stocks this year. It was also fairly foul weather on the tops - hail possibly. Agree that it is fairly low key and relatively low numbers compared with the likes of Hebden and Rombalds.

Yes, if memory serves me correct, a foul hailstorm on Rishworth Moor, weather's never good up there, even in summer
