I've entered the Trollers Trot. Looking forward to it seeing as I missed out on Wensleydale wander. Did the Falcon Flyer yesterday, which starts in Ravenscar. I can fully recommend it. It's not an area I would ever think of going to for training, but it was nice to run on the moors and have sea views!

I know it's quite far to travel though. I stayed in Boggle Hole YHA the night before as it's about 10-15 mins drive away from the start and it only cost £11. That seemed far more preferable to yet another 5am start if I stayed at home!

Boggle Hole YHA is terrific. Stayed there couple of years ago for equally terrific Smugglers Trod LDWA event

I now won't be trollers trotting, despite the massive £8 outlay, as I've conived my way into the High Peak Marathon on the 5th/6th March now. That said if my HPM team mates somehow fall foul of the dreaded lurgi in between times or all happen to get struck by lightning I'll see you there

I'll make sure deejay doesn't forget his phone this time. After all, if he had it with him he could have rang me when I failed to show at the appointed time and we wouldn't have been late
