    Dunno whats going on with entries here.

    Now 964 entries, when there was supposed to be a max of 850 to the general public.

    Hmm, letting people enter above the limit with a strict non refund policy.

    Seems abit suspect...

    With road races, if you have a limit of say 1000, you are allowed by the permit to take more on the basis of typical dropout rate, so perhaps 1150 entries. I suspect that is what they are doing.

    And the drop out rate is quite high if last year is anything to go by. Only 689 started the race.

    Invest in The Three Peaks Bank. Also organises a trail race.

    Any advice on footwear? The ground looks quite firm from the videos. So what do people recommend? If inov8's, which model?

    look on last years thread or even search footware for three peaks i'm sure there was a thread on this but lots run in road shoes I prefer lightweight trails shoes for the extra grip. if it's been dry on the run up to the event I would avoid pure fell shoes as there is lots of ahrd track. some I'm sure will have other opinions
