    Thank you for that info Jill.

    Did run this revised route yesterday from Ashway stone, past Fox stone & then onto the reservoir just to see how the running compares as opposed to taking the path shown on the OS map. Did have to work harder in some parts (not just along this stretch) due to the snow from last week (?) & with the overnight fall, which I can't see clearing any time soon will make the race a real slog fest.

    After Ashway stone there is a new check point to keep runners away from a newly reseed area of the moor. This takes you round the moor edge rather than straight over the bog. Also there could be a small change from the original route up to feather bed but that is still in discussion. This is a classic race tho' and much tougher than it looks.....I missed it last time it was run (10 years ago). Just don't know if I can do it after running the High peak......sounds suicidal.

    Will there be maps with the checkpoints and areas that are "out of bounds" on the day?

    Its not been run for a very long time Matt (10 years i think) so i was only 7 then..awww.

    However i can do you one better than pictures if you are free on sunday morning at 8am
