    Thanks. Always nice to know you're getting it vaguely right Hoping to get over early fri morning for another look but Mr T&C is sat at home with a recently bust knee so need to earn some brownie points first

    Hi,

    Does anyone fancy car sharing/a lift out to edale on the day? I'll be driving out from sheffield (woodseats area). Seems silly to take a car with just 1 person in it, so i'm happy to hook up with anyone. Just let me know. drop me a PM or something

    Glen

    Did the mam Nick to Grindslow with marvin this morning. It was a little chilly.

    Was it still really firm and still plenty of snow around? I found on sunday you could run on the untouched snow and it was firm so just like running on the road in places.

    no not really snow fields were mushy. but there was ice under 1 inch of mud which made it very slippy. The grass is still frozen though.

    So if it slowly get warmer over the next week and a half the conditions will be right messy!! Looks like it's going to be a fun first running for me. bar the training run of course.

    Just back from a recce of the section round to Crowden Brook. Hard frosty grass and peat, but snow starting to get soft.

    Not on race route, but a brilliant descent off Grindslow towards Tipps!

    eeeek, cue the barage of abuse........

    I might not do this now. After trying as hard as I might to get to the lakes and do a few long days out up there over the last month or so the weather has really quoshed any plans. However, it looks like we are having a mini thaw? Here's hoping.

    If the snow top reports come in as favourable next week then it makes much more sense for me to get up to the lakes rather than race Edale again. SO, my place will be up for grabs.

    At what point does anyone know is the last day I can 'swap' it and how do I go about that? Are there any official channels to go through or can I just 'hand it out' to the first person that PM's me?

    Ta muchly

    Unfortunately;

    To take account of the inevitable dropouts and no shows more runners receive an entry than the entry limit. Hence there is not a waiting list, there are absolutely no entries on the day and the entries are not transferable
    It's a shame but i guess DarkPeak have enough to do in just organising the race at all, without making it hard for themselves.
