Hadn't noticed Insider's post above but saw the 180 and 190 on Inov-8 web. Reminded me to dig my Berkinstocks out

Aren't these just fancy..and probably over priced Croc's

never mind all the science 'A relaxed, comfortable fit ensures that you feet can adopt their natural position'...see above

Also like the Nike free..although these are a trainer

and whilst we (I) are on the subject...can Inov8 insider guide us to any peer reviewed publications that support the claim of the Fascia band inclusion 'increase(ing) propulsion efficiency and reduce(ing) fatigue'

    if so...thank you in advance

    Slippy
I have no idea, I dont believe that is the main reason folks buy our shoes but I could be wrong.
That said a lot runners choose inov-8 to train & compete in, many races have been won & records broken in our shoes. Maybe thats because the Fascia band 'increases propulsion efficiency and reduces fatigue'

Sorry I hadn't replied earlier as I have been away in Scotland all week

Sssssoooo...theres no actual science behind it...as far as your aware ?

Interesting that....without being too cheeky..but...it seems like the placebo effect here

I personally have no idea or care about the science, Im just a humble runner who knows what feels good on my feet, grips like nowt else and are comfortable.
What its called or how its described doesn't make me decide whether I wear a shoe or not.

    Do you think its important?

I think the science is important if you are making a specific claim as to why your shoes are better, if you are suggesting certain features only available on innovs increase performance to sell more and you cannot prove it are you not breaching the trades description act. C'mon Innov insider sign post us to the evidence.

Thats the description of what it does, Born Slippy was asking for evidence it works, is there any?

that is exactly what im asking and Inov8Insiders first reply pointed to that it had helped break (with the athletes effort) some course records recently etc

as an engineer/scientist i am sceptical about most claims unless they have been robustly tested and reviewed. i myself wear Inov8's but am becoming increasingly jaded by the continuous posts of various forumites touting the 'cure all' properties of Inov8's

a simple link to some academic journals would clear this up in no time

Just because something hasn't been "proven" in a peer reviewed academic journal doesn't mean it doesn't work - the proof of the pudding is in the beating...
